One clean sheet against these in the last 11 games and don’t expect that to improve on Saturday. Just not compact at all. No press (did see it a little v PSG with our three-man press) but we’re just generally shit in and out possession.
This fixture last season was a gutsy comeback after Robbo getting sent off early and Jota came up trumps late in the game to rescue a point.
Fulham are doing nicely in the league in 9th spot just four points off Chelsea in 6th. Form wise, up and down (as they always are) losing half of their last dozen games in all comps but rarely get blown away.
They also rescued a draw against us (predictably) at home needing a late Harrison wonder goal (he won’t score another like it in his life) but what a hit that was.
Villa has a tricky trip to Forest, Chelsea at home to City and Brentford against a good away team in Everton so three points an absolute must but when other teams drop points we have to, too. It’s what we’re good at.
Who will start?
Mama, Frimpong, Konate, VVD, Kerkez, Grav, Mac, Szobo, Wirtz, Gakpo and Mo would be my pick.
Ekitike needs benching as he’s been mightily fucking around the last few games (scored 3 PL games this calendar year and scored in just of those 11 games and 6 goals in 20 games all comps since that Spurs strike at Chrimbo). More concerned about his fucking hair and flicks than aggressively taking on players and trying to get in behind. Stick Gakpo up top, Wirtz and Mo flanking, Szobo as the 10.
I think Ekitike will start tho and the much-needed Isak to come on if need be, to get more match fitness.
We need to win this and will. Fulham will score but will get more.
2 or 3-1 us.

10th April 2026 at 12:46 pm #243425Only one thing matters now, as I’ve said for the last few months, and that’s qualifying
for the CL. Everything else is hot air, time for TOTAL FOCUS on the PL.Thus, this game is a must-win game, no other result is acceptable.
Ekitike, whom I’m a big fan of, was awful (and possibly exhausted) in Paris, so I’d bench him,
and start Isak, as he can be quite clinical, when he gets going. Now let’s win it, and for once have a good weekend.
As for our opponents – Very Dangerous, any complacency, we will be severely punished, the team has been warned.

Frimpong Konatรฉ Van Dijk Kerkez

10th April 2026 at 1:18 pm #243429Interesting selection Songman. I feel probably I would imagine like many deflated when it comes to the subject of Liverpool at the moment. Completely forgotten irrespective of Wednesday that we do now have Isak at our disposal.
With this Strong Attack-Minded Line Up we’ve been longing for goals let alone a Victory of any nature.
If by a long-shot we do play out like a 5-0 win. That would inject us with a least some form of confidence meeting PSG. This makes sense to be fair on all fronts and I’m definitely not interested in ‘saving players’ from the risk of injury. We should be READY.

10th April 2026 at 1:21 pm #243431Eitike cant play 3 games a week. The conditioning of the team is a joke. We look unfit. Reason we concede so many late goals. Kerkes going down with a cramp after 70 mins v psg
Every game eitike is done after 70 min every game.

10th April 2026 at 4:23 pm #243434I agree Ginger, definitely not. It’s either Ekitike or my pick, Gakpo as the 9.

10th April 2026 at 5:43 pm #243437I’m generally at a loss of this all. You could get settled in watching a match and before you know it, something goes against you. We’ve not won a League match in since the 28th Feb.
We have to start formulating our strongest 11 and one of which containing Firepower. I can’t bear for another defeat or dropped points.

10th April 2026 at 6:38 pm #2434386 weeks without a league win.
5 defeats in 8 in all comps since that last league victory (West Ham). Negative 5 goal differential in those 8 games.

10th April 2026 at 10:23 pm #243443West Ham twatting a truly AWFUL Wolves team who we barely beat at home (they should have got a point) and lost away.
Bottom three. Wolves, Burnley, Spurs.
Lost at Wolves and drew at home to Burnley and Spurs.
2 pts from 9 against that shite._____________________________

11th April 2026 at 11:28 am #243455Any team facing us really will fancy their chances as proven with Wolves and Tottenham taking points off us.
Last time I felt good about us was the Gala Home game 4-0. And this was nearly a month ago!!
Grand National Day as well Today; should really be feel good vibes!!

11th April 2026 at 1:07 pm #243458I said it earlier in the week on another thread, for me, this is the most important game this week.
We need these 3 points at home.
Brentford play Everton before us and both teams are breathing down our necks, (never thought that would be a thing this season).
Tomorrow Chelsea play City and with City trying to chase down Arsenal they could us a favour.
Weโve seen these situations before and weโve failed to hold up our end.Ultimately I donโt care whoโs on the pitch if we donโt do the basics.
Intensity, work rate, drive, aggression are pre-requisites as are basic passing, defending, covering the runner, control, final ball etc etc etc.
Unfortunately we havnt seen much of that this season.Salah, Gakpo, Robbo, Jones all didnโt start mid week so should be all pretty fresh.
Slot has made mention of both Gomez and Frimpong playing the full 90 midweek so he may decide to rest both. Donโt know why they canโt share the mins. This is meaningless however if the players donโt show up.
We know the tactics arnt designed to get the best out of them but they need to rise above that and just get the result.-

11th April 2026 at 1:39 pm #243462Apparently a lot of spare tickets available for Today’s match. It’s unusual too for this to be scheduled at home on Grand National Day.

11th April 2026 at 2:28 pm #243467My Goodness!! Door wide open now for Man City; would love for us to be in their shoes now. 9 Point Gap with 2 games in hand. They beat Chelsea tomorrow and next Sunday will be the Decider.
This Arsenal team is so boring to watch with the plethora of players they have!!!
Well done Bournemouth only 5 points behind us. We need to really win today. On a slightly light note, mathematically with a positive goal difference, we can still catch the Gunners haha ๐

11th April 2026 at 2:50 pm #243468Hopefully that Arsenal result gives Coty the extra impetus to go and beat Chelsea.
We still need to take care of business our end.
