Can’t understand these keepers who take such unnecessary blatant chances with the ball at their feet. So many EPL keepers do it as well.

Find it a bit odd that City have such a strong side playing

Not too many problems. Very impressed with Palmer. He seems a very confident young chap.
Glad we put out our strongest possible side to respect the competition.

Yes Adlab I’m not sure City need to be signing a striker in the Summer with young Palmer coming through like he is.

Rover, I think it re embellishes the point of strength in depth. This epitomized to me how far quality stretches towards multiple competitions.

Points have been raised in luxury and affordability ranging Β£60 million for a player. Not just the once. And what did Pep inherit?

We are lucky to have such a strong squad but it won’t last forever. A few are now the wrong side of 30 – Gundohan, KDB. Walker. Fernandinho etc.

Yes City have spent a huge amount but virtually all the owners investment is in equity and not in loans as with others eg look at Chelsea’s latest accounts and the amount owing to Abramovic – loan rather than equity
Look, there are a number of clubs owned by billionaires and they have a choice to invest in their club as have Chelsea and City. Utd do it by increasing debt. So chaps don’t give us stick about our squad built on genuine investment.

I know you are going to give me stickπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ€‘πŸ€‘

Got to be honest, Adders, don’t really have a problem “how” the slavemasters that own your club have managed to financially dope their way to success, it’s the very simple fact that your slavemaster owners are evil, nasty men, and the money they’re using is heavily tainted with the blood of poor immigrant workers (and, yes, we’re all complacent about letting it happen all these years!).

Allowing morally corrupt nations to use our national sport as a means to “sportswash” their way to some form of credibility is all an embarrassment to us all (and this is no way comparable to the likes of Jack Walker spunking his wedge on his local club before anybody goes down that path!).

The thing that really gets my goat is that I already thought your slavemasters were a bunch of C you N Tuesdays to start with, now they’ve pretty much messed up one of my favorite pastimes do they think my opinion of them is going to get any better?

If your slavemasters what any sort of international credibility, then they need to make changes far closer to home than by football clubs in Europe.

It’s hard to comprehend without sounding bitter the entire facet of the competition considering the gap and the gulf.

Think about it, how can Swindon even on their own ground win the tie or force a replay? It can’t be against that level of quality and opposition. Maybe not Manchester City’s fault.

The FA can’t think of a reform in this because from another point of view, this is part of the magic of the competition drawing to the elite and being able to generate gate money and give the locals a memorable experience. Taking the competition seriously is one thing, but fielding the 11 they did considering what many current prem teams are going though rubs a little salt in wounds.

Don’t massively disagree Chucky. But the same rules apply to Chinese ownership and Thai ownership. It would be better if all clubs were owned by the local butcher, baker or candlestick maker as it used to be. But then you examine how these billionaire owners who don’t live in the UK made their money. You don’t have to look far.

Having said that I do not like these repressive Muslim regimes. But we are quite happy as a country to do mega billions arms deals. And yes there is a strong measure of PR coming through their investment in City, no doubt. But which Premier league club would have turned it away?

United were on the brink of a deal with Qatar, the worst of the lot bar Saudi Arabia. How many people go to work there and have foreign servants etc. Is that OK. How many go to Dubai on holiday? Loads.

So what’s the answer? Heaven knows.

Nike. With the greatest respect are you saying we should have put out an EDS team to give them a chance? That would make the whole thing a waste of time. I think the Swindon fans wouldn’t have been happy. I do detect tinges of jealousy….no I’m sure not.
