I’m sure that things will improve, but at the moment, I’m not feeling like that massive summer spending spree is proving great value for money. I’d take Robbo over Kerkez, Bradley over Frimpong, Wirtz shows occasional signs of what is to (hopefully) come, but not on a consistent basis, Ekitike looks good – but should be at that price, Isak – all too early as yet, but confident that he can continue to deliver in the PL as he has done.

The other thing that bugs me about Kerkez is his demeanour on the pitch as he’s too much ‘Mr Angry Man’. Yes, I know that it’s better than being too frivolous, but just think he needs to lighten up a bit and show that he’s actually enjoying being out there – it’s the ‘Liverpool Way’. On the plus side, local charities must be eying up the opportunity to raise some funds by arranging an event where he could attempt a Sponsored Smile.

Exactly threeps, its only a discussion about the manager. I certainly question why he keeps starting and macca and kerkes when they are not playing well.

We bought writz to help unlock tight ganes but hes been subbed a few times when we are chasing a goal

Chiesa deserves a few games now from the left.

Red herring we might well improve but sat was not the 1st time we have been battered this season or last.we usually get a result but we will be found out more if we don’t start playing for more then 20/25 minutes a game. What concerns me is we know exactly what was coming at Newcastle away and palace away yet we have played like we had never seen them play before.

Chiesa certainly needs more game time, doubt you’ll see many fans disagree. On the left instead of Gakpo seems the most logical, but would anyone drop the out of form Salah for him?

Would like to see Isak and Ekitike play together. I’ve been very impressed with Ekitike, his movement is great and is clearly skilful, but does he drop back too much and get in Wirtz’s way? Could he better with a free role pn on the left? I’m not sure, but maybe the CL against Galatasary would be a good time?

Kerkez with a classic case of short bloke syndrome 🤣 Bet he squares up to Woltemend next time we play Newcastle.

Eitike looks excellent, i think he can play on left aswell. He does drop into the ten role a bit which I’ve observed aswell

You probably all read already, that Chiesa has not travelled to Turkey.

It’s odd, besides Ekitike he’s the only forward showing form. Also he offers something different to the others.

Seen the game there(im getting left behind, hopefully with the international break i can at least see the galatasray game and chelsea).

I have to say that konate is the real cause of all our problems, his general play is brutal and this is seeping right down to every player.. bit like united with onana in goals or david james when we used to get corners circa 98-2000.

Konate needs to be dropped… but for who? With leonis injury, its a guarantee that if gomez plays he wont last a few games before breaking down. Thus the reason why i mentioned that the transfer wasnt has great that everyone made it out to be.

We were better in the second half, mac and wirtz upped their game only to be substituted.. slots recent team selections and substitutions have been of the mark of late!

Well done to crystal palace, deserved their victory!
