I was expecting a draw or even another1-0 loss but Pep must have been working hard with them. This will also give them encouragement for PSG on Wednesday Dias and Laporte hopefully will start at the back again. I am expecting the same game plan as to day, Good performance lads, on to the next game.

Tough game to night but it does no matter who we play now, they are all tough. I am not complying because if you want to win it you have to win your games. I will be interested to see how Pep lines up his team and what tactics they will adopt.

WE played well, create chances but you have to put the chances away. PSG did on the few they had and we did not. However, a good effort. Move on, Liverpool next, away again.

That’s about the size of it Brian. But that’s not new this season as this seasons results reflect.

City remain the best side in the PL and probably the best side in the CL too they should really be winning them both this season and they might well yet but currently they lack a bona fide striker and are not taking advantage of their domination in games, City got away with that last season it’s open to conjecture as to whether they can this season.

A top striker would be gobbling up many of the very numerous chances City are making I can’t help thinking whilst chasing a top striker a plan b of signing someone like Danny Ings in the interim might have been wise.

Be a shame if City don’t realise their true potential this season just because they don’t have a striker who can convert the very many chances they were creating that could of course change in January although I suspect to get who they really want may not happen until next Summer.

Still a pleasure to watch them though. Even on Saturday! 😊

Sunday will be interesting.

Nine..I think we will have somebody at Christmas, short or long term. I have not bothered too much about the non striker but the chances we have been missing even full backs and goalkeepers should be gobbling up, or even ME!!!!!

I am pleased with our performance to day. We are beginning to get into shape, just a few more tweaks and I think we could go on a run again, lets get the CL league out of the way and go for the major trophy the EPL!!!!!! I know players want it but I am sure I am not the only fan who would prefer to win our own competition. Foden needs a good run in the team now and I had hoped for Torres to come on to day instead of Sterling. We need to keep the momentum now.Good team selection by Pep

I know the striker situation will pop up again, but we scored 2 to day, away, against one of the best teams in the league. OK, we should have scored more but still, for me, that is OK.

With a striker you probably win that game today Brian score more than one at Chelsea and beat PSG. City are the best team in the PL and probably Europe too but playing without a striker could well cost you.

Nine, maybe so but I am also OK with current system, providing at least two of the seven potential scorers start scoring from the chances made. My heart dropped when Sterling came on, I would have rather had Torres but then again it is only an opinion. I have said many times, Sterling has a great work ethic and puts a lot into the team but he is becoming more and more hesitant near goal when I thought with his experience scoring would not be as difficult. I think he will be moving on soon and it will probably re ignite his form, it is not going to happen with City now. A new generation is appearing with young Palmer, Delap and McAtee

Brian, I’m not a City fan but even I get frustrated when City play like they do and don’t score the goals that their play deserves except when they’re playing against Chelsea of course.😊

I know Nine, it can be frustrating watching them but then they give you enjoyment as well to see real football being played. I feel it is more about succession now with City and this season is about good consistent performance and see what comes out of that. We also know that KDB,Fernadinho Walker Gungdogan Mahrez have to be managed this season, so it is more than just rotation in mind. This also means that replacements have to be found. Next season, apart from KDB ,they will have all gone plus a few others Sterling Mendy Zinchenko. so a lot of planning to do On top of that Laporte and Bernardino may want to return to Europe. It is not wise to ignore these probabilities and I am sure Pep will not be doing so. The question of Pep has already been answered but again it will be in the plan somewhere. I also thought at one stage City owners would sell to China/ or somewhere within a couple of years but I cannot see that as clear cut now since they rebuilding something bigger than the club, we just happen to be at the head of it. Thats my view as a City fan…a lot will happen
On the subject of the” missing Kane” there was never a guarantee that even if we had him he would fit the system and still score goals. I would rather have seven players good goal contributions rather than rely on one. We had Augerro of course but others still contributed. I still prefer a younger injury free striker if we can get one. However, I would not say “No” to Kane for 35 million!!!. he is no good to us this season apart from the league

Brian, City never fail to entertain me buddie they are a joy to watch except when they play Chelsea.😊.

I don’t think it’s necessarily about Kane anymore that ship may well have sailed now and will City go back in for Kane and waste more time on Levy?

I think City will probably cast their net wider than Kane now Pep has said City will buy a striker whether that’s in January or the Summer is the question buying one in January will I suspect secure the the PL title and possibly the CL too not signing one won’t necessarily mean City will miss out on either but it will make it more interesting and a bit more difficult imo.

Agree Nine, but it was always the case from day 1…it is difficult for any team, the winners will be worthy winners as simple as that. It may not be about goals scored either although we have done pretty well in that direction and at the moment doing OK. I will be more than surprised if we go after Kane in January, his worth is much less to us now since he would be limited to what competition he plays in, CL would be out…that is where I think we need a striker. However, like I have said many times…a young fit and eager striker for me is preferable. I would have signed Ings over Kane at the start of the season though, he would have had 10 goals by now!!!!! Another thing I find confusing about the media experts….when we had a “porous defence” we still won titles, now , we have a non striker attack as well. We will never be perfect but keep trying

Yeah I have mentioned Ings a few times Brian re City previously I think he would have been a great plan b for City unfortunately he’s gone now.

Like you I think City will step away from Kane now apart from anything else Levy is trouble.😊

Kane would be ok for the CL though you can play in the other European competitions and still play for another Club in the CL not sure that’s the way City will go though. January will be interesting though to see if City try to solve the striker conundrum then?
