Since the turn of February, Villa’s form has been all over the place. Played 20 games in all comps, won 8, drawn 4, lost 8. Just 20% of those games were clean sheets. Our record in that time, played 19, won 9, drawn 2, lost 8. Like, Villa, 5 clean sheets in that span. Shit.
A win for us will guarantee CL footy for another season. A small but huge reward (oxymoron!) for a completely dung and instantly forgettable season.
Bournemouth have City at home, which will be interesting, but I expect City to turn them over. They have too seeing as Arsenal will see off Burnley at home on Monday.
We should have been 6 clear of Bournemouth coming into this match pretty guaranteeing CL footy but we couldn’t turn over the most dysfunctional team in the league (and all leagues) in Chelsea. Oh, well. Story of our season.
We haven’t won at Villa since December of 2022 drawing the last two matches, 3-3 in May of 2024 (3-1 up and conceding 2 late goals, shock, horror) and 2-2 here last season needing a Trent equaliser after going a goal up then suddenly 2-1 down until Trent’s strike in the second half.
Who will start?
Mama, Gomez, Konate, VVD, Robbo, Grav, Mac, Szobo, Wirtz, Isak, Frimpong is my guess.
Don’t know if Ali is fit, don’t need to see Jones at RB and Kerkez at left with the ‘Slot instructed’ inverting into midfield shit. Complete twat tactics. A rugged, structured and disciplined 4231 will make sure with have numbers up in mid.
Despite Villa’s all over the place form they still have won 5 from their last 6 games at home (in all comps) and think that form will continue on Friday.
Home win. Don’t trust our beloved LFC as far as I can chuck ’em.

I am awfully tempted to watch the Senior’s Snooker tomorrow night or even head down myself for a session of Pool than actually watch Pool.
At that point now where I just want us to perform well, score 2/3 nice goals and win 3 points. Wouldn’t it be nice to achieve something positive from our final 2 matches?
We can reach to 65 points from these final 2 matches. To pip United to 3rd, they would have to lose their last 2 and I don’t see that happening and they’re already themselves on 65.
I want to be in a nice frame of mind and in a good mood going into Saturday as it’s Cup Final Day and hoping for a cracker of a Final between the 2 Prem Teams.
We’ve mentioned everything in previous threads and probably there’s very little of anything new to add.

Rob/Sean, haha I’m definitely with you on the Kit. Makes me align myself more towards the 80s and the 90s Kits and Casuals.
I liked the first Candy one that was 1989 to 1991 as well as the Silver. The Replica ones just aren’t the same as the originals so definitely a niche for somebody to remake the original design.
Lol, I don’t who’s designing these now. Adidas have brought back the Trefoil, but no actual Text Writing of Adidas which I find unusual.
I’m not paying £100 for that!!
