Chelsea have the feel of new manager bounce about them – everyone playing at a high level trying to impress the new manager (and Xabi Alfonso is very well respected in world football) – not sure whether it will last until the first loss or the whole first season, but can see them returning to form by next season (like they always do). Just something about them that doesn’t have the feel of “new dynasty” like City, Liverpool and now Arsenal had.
With that said, at least they get the odd PL or CL trophy out of it, we’re so far back that we can’t get any better than a 2nd place finish in the league (and miles behind to not even consider a title challenge)
