I would like to see Araujo start, Jacquet is not a bad player but he is very inexperienced, then I don´t think one cross from Frimpong was completed, Kerkez was a bit better on the left but only marginally. I would be tempted to play Szobo as a fullback in our next game. Both goals conceded were so bad, I can´t blame Alison for the penalty as he had no other option but to make himself big in front of the attacker. I blame the defense for not following the run into the box. Gakpo despite his assist showed he does not belong on the right flank but that was probably the only cross into the box that was decent until Iraola made the chances. I guess this means we favor Munoz on the right right now, he was decent on the left flank as well, he is perfectly capable on both flanks. He is gonna be a treat.
It was a good assist for Gakpo but he lacks the ability to dribble past his marker, it was also a very good assist for Wirtz who spotted the run from Munoz, I think we could see a lot more of that happening from Wirtz when we have two wingers with real speed down the flanks. That also opens up the box for Isak who got his goal today even though I thought he looked a bit sloppy.
We really need to stop conceding such easy goals.
