I was told just earlier today that Jacquet was the best partner for VVd.
4 goals conceded while he’s on the pitch.
Araújo hasn’t conceded any.
It was ridiculous statement to make in the first place when he’d only played an hours competitive football.

The story has been about coming back than leads. We haven’t been in the lead.
We can’t be too hard on ourselves having only played 2 matches. And Preseason can’t be included.

Trying to stay positive. Forest are a bogey team for us, but we really need the manager to try to stamp an identity for the team sooner rather than later.
If that means we drop wirtz and isak, when ekitikie is fit, then so be it.

Last season we beat Newc away, against a much better Newc team.
Last season we lost at home v Forest.
Currently we’re -1 on last season, same fixtures.
Meanwhile we have some here predicting a 80+ season for us.
We’ve still to play any team that finished in the top 10 last season.

If Klopp was backed we wouldn’t need to rebuild the way we are doing now. There was a power play between Klopp and Edwards and Klopp lost out and left.
Then we saw the shambles of a transfer window last season.
Allison and Vvd last season and the transition and rebuild will take longer. Hopefully Leoni recovers and can form a partnership with Jacquet.

There is improvement, but again to stimulate us properly means it’s from the opposition hurting us. Been a very long time in seeing that team that used to be on the front foot from taking the bull by the horns.
I appreciate the supporters in the stadium the way they have been, but I’m a lot confident over time, we’ll find our rhythm and rediscover that winning habit.

Cherry picking by judging a player on only a few minutes on the pitch, is ignorance of the highest order (yet again).
Iraola picks the team and he picks it on merit, unless of course you think you know more about football than him – which by your numerous blunders over here, you clearly don’t.
And how many of the goals were solely Jacquet’s fault? Not, even one of them.

I would like to see Araujo start, Jacquet is not a bad player but he is very inexperienced, then I don´t think one cross from Frimpong was completed, Kerkez was a bit better on the left but only marginally. I would be tempted to play Szobo as a fullback in our next game. Both goals conceded were so bad, I can´t blame Alison for the penalty as he had no other option but to make himself big in front of the attacker. I blame the defense for not following the run into the box. Gakpo despite his assist showed he does not belong on the right flank but that was probably the only cross into the box that was decent until Iraola made the chances. I guess this means we favor Munoz on the right right now, he was decent on the left flank as well, he is perfectly capable on both flanks. He is gonna be a treat.
It was a good assist for Gakpo but he lacks the ability to dribble past his marker, it was also a very good assist for Wirtz who spotted the run from Munoz, I think we could see a lot more of that happening from Wirtz when we have two wingers with real speed down the flanks. That also opens up the box for Isak who got his goal today even though I thought he looked a bit sloppy.
We really need to stop conceding such easy goals.

Conceding the first goal, whether home or away, is a problem that’s been going on for over a year now.
This is a structural issue AND not having the balance in midfield.
When Iraola first came into Bournemouth he really struggled for results for the first 10/15 games before his ideas were embedded.

Definitely an improvement and the players look fitter. Szobo currently a better full back than midfielder today. Cant let Gakpo go even if we sign one more winger – he wasn’t brilliant today but was solid.

I don´t wanna lose him, he needs to managed like previously when he had competition for his place in the team, he is a solid forward but like you say not spectacular.
I´m not disappointed with the attack or the midfield, I´m disappointed with the four sloppy goals we have conceded this season and that´s on the defense.

What I´ve seen from the two games so far is that we are actually capable of scoring goals while in possession against low blocks, we are getting more dangerous in transition but the defense is the issue and it´s mostly a concentration problem, even the goals conceded against Newcastle. How bad were they, two players on the counter walked through 6 of our players without anyone closing them down. The other goal conceded was cheap as fuck as well. Now we concede a penalty from a throw in because nobody makes the run. It was like the players leaving the field had already switched off after the fiasco with the subs from the refs. Then the first goal is created from the goalkeeper, he got a key pass, that pissed me off.

Bingo @ 3:05, some very good observations.
I felt Jacquet was thrown in with a lot of responsibilities. Full-backs I am sorry to say were absent with their positional play and discipline.
They need to own their position this is what’s fundamental to us improving to be more resolute and disciplined. We nail this properly and we’ll becoming properly established.
Frimong’s crossing practically on every occasion was a let down as with Gakpo’s ending too deep. Basics all in all we are still shooting ourselves for. That’s league one sort of level so all the goodness stripped away sadly from last year which Andoni now has to put right.
