As far as I know Man United plays better with flying counterattacks. It also suits a bad defence like we are having now not to be stretched out in a possession play risking to be counterattacked by opponents. I know Carrick is a fan of possession play but you got to have quick centerbacks. It also takes out strikers like Sesko completely out of the game playing around opponents box and it’s boring as fuck to watch.
