@jm as i stated on the other thread; i think the strategy surrounding midfielders signed has alot to do with Carrick stating he wants to play possession based football this season and trying to replicate the fluidity of the PSG midfield. But personally with the way we have always played a physically strong and technically good paired midfield partnership under Bruno would have easily sorted things.
