This summer, there’ll be no more wasteful, paying highly over the odds, emotional, hysterical spending from Liverpool like the £125m spent on Isak, yet none of his comparable (and more productive and available) peers even cost more than £80m.
This time, I have the feeling, we’ll be far more clever and shrewd in the transfer market, targeting value for money players, promising youth players(like with Ngumoha), totally unknown/surprising players plus the occasional big, player, but only at the right price, no more being fleeced in deals, like Newcastle did to us.
And some big outgoings, of course, as Slot hinted, to fund our business, possibly the likes of Mac Allister going to Spain.
