Starting with a new head coach, number one.
Alonso/Enrique/Nagelsmann
From the back, forward….
Alisson/Mama (but start the new starting #1 GK process if Alisson’s injuries persist)
New Right Back – Bradley’s injury record/availability is pants. Frimpong isn’t a right back. I like him as a squad member but only as a wing-back, back up RB/11.
New Centre Back – Top level, experienced to replace Konate. Should’ve got Guehi in the winter window but we fucked about (again).
Defensive Mid – we need one, majorly.
A new 7 and 11 – Olise, Gordon are my picks.
Over to you.

25th March 2026 at 5:27 pm #242510I don’t want to roll out cliche`s like “have the best players in the world, play beautiful football and win lots of trophies”, but I in my mind something has grown more vivid in vision.
It seemed when we were crowned Champions, it was like the last Hurrah. Many things starting from our Trophy celebration Parade went horribly wrong for us. We Tragically lost a human being last Summer, and from then on, our Pre-Season and the Progress for this season essentially spells Despair.
I do believe we are at a Critical Point of sinking lower or should we continue with the same Leadership Team. A change is therefore Essential and this is what I would like:
– New Formation implemented playing 2 Strikers
– A Fully Balanced Squad Of Players
– Improved Work Ethic/Application during Matches
– Minimal Injuries
– Stay Unbeaten as much as we can
– Make Anfield a Fortress Again
– Strive for All Competitions with the same commitment_____________________________

25th March 2026 at 6:50 pm #242520Nagelsmann first, our future would be secured with him.
Then we basically need a new defense, we need a left back and a right back, we need a senior defender to come in. We actually need two as Gomez can’t play more than one game a week if that much.
We need a defensive midfielder as well and probably a replacement for Mac Alister.
If we get top price for Gakpo we should let him go as well and get at least 2 proper wingers in.

25th March 2026 at 7:48 pm #242521At this current momnent of time we need:
Salah Replacement: this could be tricky because salah was hardly ever injured and played to an extremely elite level every season. We might need 2 replacements olise and diomande… in case they get injured. Now this is only possible if we get a fee for salah.. which is looking highly unlikely!
Luis Diaz replacement: now that we have rio coming through this might be an issue as we do not want to stifle his development… but we do need a diaz/mane replacement… and thats not at the cost of gakpo. Maybe diomande can play there?
Endo and curtis replacement: we need to bring in a worldclass DMF and a box to box midfielder. Someone the manager can trust. Stiller and Camavinga? Also nyoni is stepping up and can help for the future too.
Replacement for Tsimikas and Robertson: we have kerkez.. who with all do respect has been poor but there are signs of improvement! Nobody available for free? If not antonee robinson is good and owen beck can step up too.
Konate/matip replacement: once again it depends on konate signing a deal. Some have mentioned bastoni but italians mostly have struggled in the pl since the days of zola, di cannio etc tonalis done well though!

26th March 2026 at 7:05 pm #242582I definitely want us to place more emphasis on building a squad and so-called labelled Fringe Players that can be used to make a difference like your Milner’s and Origi’s.

27th March 2026 at 11:54 am #242604“Starting with a new head coach, number one.”
Why exactly Rob, can you explain?
So basically Slot wins Liverpool the league against ALL odds in his first season, and even more remarkably by spending only £13m on just one player, a fringe player (Chiesa). There are no excuses or justifications for his victory, any manager that wins the toughest league in the world, the PL, is a top manager, and FULLY deserves it, no two ways about it.
And are all top coaches (who have already won the league) not allowed one bad season? For example, Klopp finished fifth in 2023, but the owners decided to keep him, so what’s the difference now with Slot?
And btw, if Hughes had not crazily spent £124m on Isak, but instead bought a top winger and CB, we would most certainly be in a much better position in the table – this is perhaps the biggest issue for our decline.
Don’t get me wrong, if the owners decide to look for a new manager, that is their right, and they will give us their reasons. But until then, it is up to Slot to do his utmost best to get the most out of the rest of the season, instead of wallowing in negativity.

27th March 2026 at 12:02 pm #242609Even Klopp acknowledges that Hugo Ekitike is our No. 1 striker, or at least strongly implies it publicly.
Klopp on Salah:
“When you work with him, the bigger view is just ridiculous, unmatched numbers, we may sit here in 10 years, maybe Ekitike (breaks his record) but it will be difficult.”

27th March 2026 at 2:20 pm #242618I can’t think of a better left-footed / right-sided attacker (and hence a Salah-type player) currently playing in the PL than Harry Wilson. Bit of a failing from Klopp that he hung onto him with multiple loan deals and then finally sold him when he was reaching his peak performance levels. Personally, I’d welcome him back at Anfield, but was surprised to see that he has just turned 29 this week so I suspect that he won’t fit into the LFC recruitment model, but sure that he’s got 3-4 really good seasons left in him.

27th March 2026 at 10:48 pm #242645Florian Wirtz has 9 goals and 11 assists in 38 games for Germany, that is the reason we bought him, the head coach should be sacked for making him into a average player.
I don´t think Slot is strong enough to demand a player, I don´t think he is strong enough to recommend a player, he is a yes man that was brought in and somehow got lucky.

28th March 2026 at 1:40 am #242647Enjoyed your notes Song after the ultra shit Wolves game I believe it was.
“HOWEVER, Slot was also to blame yesterday for the loss, for the simple reason that he did not select his strongest team, and tried to be too clever.
Why play Szoboszlai at right-back, yet Gomez and Frimpong are right-backs? I would have started our strongest team, as I listed it here before the match, and if things were going well, then give Rio 30-45 min of football.
But WORST of all, why bring the novice Nyoni to play on the left-wing? And then default to panic mode, giving Chiesa just a few minutes of football to recuse the game, without avail, yet again?
Slot also needs to look at himself and his tactics, and get his act together – Keep it simple, and just play your strongest team, with players in their rightful positions.”
Which he doesn’t do. This wasn’t an isolated case. We’ve had a full bastard 12 months of it with the odd deviation when he HAS played players in the right positions in the right formation with the right tactics but 90% of it has been rinse n repeat. Boring ass football in an environment created by the manager/head coach. Just like Klopp created heavy metal football and the players responded to it.
Slot is slow, possession based and the players look fuckin bored playing it. Wirtz restricted. Ekitike no confidence in running behind. Salah, one foot out the door. Midfield, buggared, as he doesn’t rotate. Gakpo selected game in game out but doing mightily fuck all. Rio massively underused despite Gakpo playing like a ball and bat. Back line mistake after mistake. Look unsure, nervous. The Gomez 6 minute bullshit at Bournemouth. Fucking hell.
Tactical. Third man running? Not happening. Forwards running in behind? Not happening. Compact out of possession? Not happening. Players rotated to keep the squad fresh? Not happening? Manager complaining about low blocks but still implements slow ass build up playing. FFS. I could go on.
We’ve had a full YEAR of this.
I’ll bet me house he’s gone in the summer.
It’s my opinion just like you make yours.

Recommend you all try see the goals, the first was a beauty. 2nd not bad either, and I saw on the RTL YT highlights (not sharing as you’d need a VPN) he had a very good shot well saved just prior to his first goal.
Kept saying he can play on the left in a 433 but kept being told by people on here or TT he’s bought as a ten or wasted out wide. There are more options to a wide player than being a winger.
Back to thr topic, I want to see the squad fit again and play with intensity. Not necessarily Klopp level (even he toned it down at the end), but we shouldn’t be out run by everyone and still look shattered after 75 minutes every game.

28th March 2026 at 7:31 am #242652Saw them threeps. Didn’t think he hsd a goal like the first one in him. Couthink like
Beautiful 2nd goal. Hes a clear talentHis nunbers should be much higher considering chances he has created and he has missed some really good chances
I want to see us really get the best of him. Be a real travesty if in the future we sell him for a real cut down price after failing here

28th March 2026 at 7:56 am #242653He definitely should be pulling the trigger more often and with more conviction, he has the ability. For chance creation he’s doing pretty well, but the slow pondering tactics make it very difficult for strikers to make decent runs or strike without having defenders in the way.
Next season watch him thrive (unless the club does the unthinkable).

28th March 2026 at 12:01 pm #242663This is also the main reason as to why I want Nagelsmann even if Alonso should be able to get the best out of him as well.

28th March 2026 at 12:47 pm #242664It spells more freedom to me Bingo this. It then makes me think if our whole playing concept under Arnie has been limited. We definitely need a Manager who can take us on a Different journey to really get these players liberated.

28th March 2026 at 7:15 pm #242683By all accounts Germany were a defensive mess yesterday. Good going forward, very fluid, but open in midfield.
Bingo at best Nagelsmann would join after Germany are eliminated from the world cup, maybe even after a little holiday, would you be happy leaving it so late and close to the season start to get someone in? Say germany get knocked out at the quarters and he then wants a 2 week holiday at Ballermann with the other young Germans then you’re looking at the end of july, missing the start of Liverpools preseason and a lot of the transfer window..
