Not even Ekitike himself thinks of him as a better striker than Torres and he got quite the ego actually but yeah Hugo can develop into a really fine footballer. I can also see why he has settled so quickly, his mother keeps him grounded, the lad hugs all the old ladies at the club. Everyone loves him and he has had a excellent first season so far individually but not as a team.
I prefer him on the left actually, he got that natural flair to succeed there, I quite like him up top but I can easily see him forming a excellent partnership with Isak. Cause anyone writing off Isak is completely wrong about him. He will score goals for us, albeit I doubt he will be hitting much more than 15-20 goals in the league every season but I also doubt he will start every game.
15-20 goals in about 25 games is pretty decent return, he can score another 5-10 goals in the Champions League and another 5 in the cups. Then again he might surprise us all and play every game almost, this is his big chance of proving how good he can be.
I think we also found Wirtz best position in our last game, he should be playing in midfield, when he drives the ball up from there we are instantly 4 vs 4 or 4 vs 3 in certain scenarios. He got the quality to drift all over the pitch but we need to cement a position for him, there is not a single midfielder we have bought in the last 30-40 years that has excited me as much as Wirtz. He is only 22 years old and he has started to boss our midfield like no other midfielder has done since Gerrard. I would also name Thiago but he could not start every match, the best technical player I have ever seen.
How good can this German kid become? He got the potential for a balon! He got the potential to rule this league like De Bruyne did.
