I don’t think, I certainly don’t, what he says in interviews has that much bearing to be honest, I certainly get the impression (and like a lot of managers), he does interviews because he has to (part of the job) and not becuase he wants to…
Results on the pitch matter most, even to us fans, really couldn’t care less what he says to a gobshite from the rags who, 99% of the time, are only fishing for a sound-bite/click bait…
I’m waiting/hoping for the day when a manager lumps a press gimp for asking a proper “dumbass” question.

All eyes on Thrusday (in our house anyway!) and having just googled the German League, had no idea the Frankfurters were riding high in 3rd, even if their last 3/4 games haven’t look steller (lost 3 of their last 5 in the league in a very Spursy looking LWLWL level of consistancy…
Obviously, nobody “wins” the first leg, but I sincerly hope we don’t “lose” it before the passports are packed…
No major injury’s to worry about, not sure about the return of the Ginger Ninja from Sweden, without a doubt out best player this season… as long as we don’t lose!

My boys playing like pants doesn’t help, but it seems every game I watch I just can’t get excited by… none of them really have an effect on my season (nothing in the Prem really matters)…maybe I’m just picking the wrong ones… 🙂 …. the title is done, the relegation is done, one by one the race for Top5 is getting shorter and shorter as teams start to drop off, and to be honest, I couldn’t really give a toss who does qualify… be nice if Forest did, but I’m not going to cry about it if they don’t either…

Wasn’t a lot to talk about Nil, International Football is only interesting when the actual summer tourny’s are on. I knwo the time difference doesn’t help but watching Engerland vs Albaina (or whoever) sends me to sleep, and I really couldn’t watch Germany vs San Marino (or whoever)… rather have your teeth pulled.
As for the FA Cup, love it only when my team is still in it…
As for gossip, we all know 99% of it is clickbait, so about the only piece of “news” would be TAA buggering off to Spain and, again, doesn’t really overly concern me, to be honest.
The only other vaguely non-Prem related footy related topic I can think of is the upcoming Club World Cup but, and all together now, my team isn’t in that either… 🙂
But I do think this format is going to be a bit more interesting than the older format.

With the exception of Pool, and to a very lesser extent the Goonies, there really isn’t a lot seperating the next 12-15 teams in the league, but the bottom 4 or 5, especially the bottom 3, and miles behind.
Any one of those “mid-table” teams, with a couple of steller signings and decent luck with injuries, can easily make the jump into the CL spots next season, and anybody in the current Top 10 is in with a decent shout of making this years CL spots too…
Going to be an interesting transfer window this summer, seeing who will try and poach who from whom, which players who take that gameble, as lot of those transfer might be considered a side-ways move rather than up-wards… and then certain clubs flirting with FFP issues…

You know what, the more I think about it, I think there is a genuine lack of genuine top class players…
Like you say, Waspy, go back 10/15 years all the Top 4 had 3/4/5 really top draw players, the same for a lot of teams across Europe… you can’t say that these days… would any of Barca’s current squad get a sniff in the team 10 years ago? Juve? Milan? Munich? Arse? YooUtd?
Pool, yes, Alison, DVD, Salah, Robertson all in with a very great shout of an all-time Pool Prime 11… can’t name a single player from any other club than maybe 115 (KDB for example, not including this season! Our Sonny maybe but, again, not this seasons!). Anybody from the Goon show? Would have to be one of the CB’s, but would they oust Adams or Keown? Knock out Veira or Petit (still the best CM pairing the Prem has ever seen!), not bloody likely…
