A surprisingly even half of footbally there, with Yooutd arguably finishing the half the stronger of the two teams… conditions aren’t helping either side for sure… but both managed to create some half-decent chances during the 45…
Certainly isn’t going to be a drubbing, but I do fancy some goals…

Well, as a neutral, the last thing I want is 4-0 by HT…. 0-0 with 20 to go, then lots of peno’s, VAR nonsense, and some WWE slapdowns between the managers… 🙂
But looking at those line-up’s, have a feeling I’ll be turning this off long before 90 is up… (there you go, Sweedy, I’e jinxed the Micky Mousers for you!)

To be fair, places like Sweden, Norway, Finland deal with it better because of the very simple fact snowfalls measured in meters are pretty much guaranteed to happen year on year… i.e. the money spent stockpiling equipment will be used on a regular basis. The UK aren’t going to spend that sort of money just in case they might need it once a decade…..
Anyway, something in my water is telling me this could end up a draw…

Was looking at the table, looks like our game against the Bone-Saw-Boyz is a bit of a “must win” job, with us already 8 points behind 5th (very probably last CL spot), who just happen to be the Bone-Saw-Boyz, loss this and we’ll be 11 points behind the last CL spot, not even I’m that optimistic… win and depending on other results, we could only be 5 points behind the last CL spot… a much more surmountable challenge!

It’s chicken and the egg… get a new manager who has a very different style to the old manager, do you..
A) Have him play the same way as his old club (which is why you appointed him)
B) Have him play the same way at the new club (which is why you fired the old manager)
C) Have him play somewhere in the middle (which confuses all the players)
D) Use the whole situation as a “deflective” wall to hide how brilliantly smart the owners are! 🙂_____________________________

Maybe, Waspy, maybe… (they’ve certainly battered us a few times over the last few years)… but they always seem to sit back when they visit us at the Lane, and we’re still not too shabby going forwards (only your lot have scored more than us this year!)… I think Howe will sit them up for the point and try to sneak all three from a set-piece as our defense is pretty bad at defending those… having a go at us is probably the one thing we would like as it would leave a bit more space at the back…
Will say one thing though, I do agree Grey isn’t a CB, but he hasn’t done too badly I think (didn’t watch the Pool game though)… can’t recall any “mistakes” by him, for an 18 year playing out of position, I think he’s done pretty well over the last 6/7 games… our “problems” certainly don’t start with him.

And I wouldn’t trust anybody’s “number”, they’re all at it, cooking the books. 🙂

Quite a few clubs haven’t challenged for the title in the last 11 years… 🙂
I’m not saying YooUtd aren’t a big club, I’m just saying they aren’t the ‘biggest’ club in the world. They might have been a few years ago, I’m simply offering a different opinion. Do YooUtd have a lot of fans, more than most clubs? Of course they do, but I don’t see many kids wearing YooUtd shirts these days, with regards to English clubs it’s all 115 and Jammy Todgers, plus your usual Barcas, Madrids, and reasons I don’t quite understand, an awful lot of Bayern shirts where I live.
AS for revenue… Mr. Google just told me my Spuds are ranked 8th in the world… are they the 8th best club in the world? Even I would say no to that… 🙂
(YooUtd were 5th on that list, behind the 115 before you ask!)
Your huge fan base is simply left over from the Fergie years… and it’s not getting any bigger.

Don’t remember any other “big” clubs going for them, and I’m sure the huge wedges YooUtd threw at them had nothing to do with it… there was even a comment somewhere I read today Zirkkee only went because his team pushed him to YooUtd because they were willing to pay higher agents fees than everybody else… and I certainly don’t recall De Light or Ugarte throwing their toys out their pram to join…
I’m fairly certain if YooUtd and the 115 offered the same transfer fee and wages to the same player, that player would be wearing light blue on Saturdays and dodgy tracksuits the rest of the week while humming “Wonderwall”… 🙂
Of course YooUtd are going to attract players, they’re certainly bigger than the vast majority of clubs around, and for the vast amount of players will be a step, but the biggest club in the world guaranteed to attract any player they want? Pull the other one, cyber chum!
