How do you know they cooked the books, why would they admantaly deny it only to be doubly embarrassed and doubly fined if they are indeed found guilty. To answer your question yes they would have been as successful, anyway the charges are not directly related to players finances. In any event their B team which probably costs far less would have still won most of those trophies.
