Things could change in the second half so I won’t count my chickens, but since conceding, Liverpool found something; an ingredient effectively lost all season and that’s the fighting spirit and the zip and get-up-get after.
The equalizer helped with panache. Great to go ahead, but United are more than capable in turning around a score line when behind, so a real important and tough 45 minutes lying ahead.

I make no light of this; the magnitude of the game makes it stressful viewing despite of the so-called ‘calendar’ fixture. I would have taken a draw from the start, but found something within us Tonight and I’m absolutely made up not about beating Man United, but the way we played away from home and the circumstances of a slim chance of Top 4.
We have a very good chance now with momentum of winning all our remaining 3 games. Hopefully, we stick with this type of line up and keep injury-free.

I’m not a huge fan of Maguire as you know Ed but they missed his presence and leadership tonight.
Tonight utd were missing one centre back. Shows how tough it’s been for us without our three first choice centre backs

Oh it’s not an excuse Sean. You’ve obviously suffered much more than we have. Even with Maguire, Utd have looked poor in defence at times and particularly vulnerable at set-pieces but the defence was all over the place last night. I don’t think it helped us that the result didn’t matter too much to Utd (as far as our own final position) whereas Liverpool desperately needed the 3 points.

I think United’s problems went a bit deeper than just not having Maguire the game was far to open which played into Liverpool’s hands and their offensive strength. As I highlighted before the game the game was far more important to Liverpool than United and it showed.
Roy Keane dug in hard on United last night about United going forwards but is he wrong?
But “It’s up for grabs now” 😊
And the other contenders for the top 4 only have only themselves to blame.
