Adlab, I was frustrated with the ref initially but all in, I think they got pretty much all decisions correct. As a Liverpool fan I was of course arguing that this or that was or wasn’t but if I were watching this as an unbiased fan, I think the only thing I’d complain about is the time it took them to decide things but I don’t mind the time, I prefer accuracy.
If we were only slightly fortunate to win according to you then we obviously battered them 😛

Mak, yeah agree. It’s a bit Jekyll and Hyde from us. Fine margins and on another afternoon we could have lost. Decisions do go our way, so can’t complain too much.

Nunez does frustrate me purely on the basis of us not getting his goals.
The other thing Mak is formation set up by Klopp away from home. That’s my greatest bugbear, because I’d like him to either play a safer 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-1-1 like Unai is implementing with Villa (like a 4-4-2). 2 Banks of 4 with Salah and Nunez as Strikers.
Got the points and in a healthy pos as our next 2 games are at home to Man United and Arsenal before Xmas.

Adlab, haha, we’ve won nothing. Sean’s right, it’s more about Top 4. I’m just seeing it as an opportunity to make a points tally. My target for us against last season is to improve by avoiding defeats and being more resolute. Van Dijk I think he’s back to his best from the other night, then this afternoon commits a foul which we got away with in the first half.
We need 3 more players at least and we need to have establish and build something meaningful this season like a Europa League Trophy and a Cup or us to Push On.
Arsenal look a better deal than us to stop City.

Ya, well you saw how the element of danger was back when Salah was moved inside. Darwin has not been good lately and although I called for him to start today, I think it’s time for him to be benched. It really is. He was so bad today. It isn’t just missing chances. He was offside so much today and they were all needless.
Palace definitely had the better chances. Alisson MOTM IMO but look at the other stats and you really get a picture of how it wasn’t just about us getting lucky at the end, we were dominant in most of the core ways, we were just playing it around too slowly to ever look dangerous. Maybe Nunez is a bit frustrated with this and is getting caught offside because he’s trying to run early and the ball is coming in too late every single time… but he does get caught off a lot, even when we are playing properly.
People on the other site used to give Elliott stick for his positioning, but you see it time and time again, he has a fantastic read of the offensive side of the game. it’s gonna sound weird to hear this but Szoboszlai could learn a bit from him, in that regard.
