Huge win. Pogba and Bruno unplayable. Nothing to get carried away about though. We did the same to Leeds at OT last season. Their attacking style of play plays right into our hands. Most sides won’t come at us like that so it remains to be seen if we’ll have the same trouble breaking down the smaller sides.

Also on a completely different tack. Can somebody explain why it is OK to have 60,000 + crowds with cheering, hugging etc and yet when I go into a shop (in Wales or Scotland) perhaps with nobody in it or one or two you MUST , by law, wear a mask. I just cant get my head round the logic unless its just politics? Interestec to know if anybody can see a logic!

That’s a good point Adlab. We don’t know whether there was some kind of tug between BT and Sky. Could well have been a Friday Night game and essentially a combination of different reasons.

Adlab, the full stadiums are great for the atmosphere and it’s good to see the crowds back but personally I think we’re running before we can walk hopefully it doesn’t cause further problems. Wales and Scotland are responsible for their own rules.

Ya, that midfield is not good. We’ll see Fabinho with maybe even 45 remaining but no Thiago or Hendo at all is scary. Well, at least we’ll get to see Woodburn today! LOL

A good game from Keita is now vital, and Ox not just shooting whenever he sees what colour the posts are. Ya, he can bang them in from range but Id prefer him to only do that when there’s no more room to play, or there is some serious opportunity to catch the keeper out etc.
Looking forward to seeing Tsmikas, who I have in my FPL team. Hope he plays well but the burden of our mwide play will be on Trent’s shoulders.
I wonder who plays through the middle today, Jota or Salah? I actually went against the grain and got Mane instead of Salah, just cause EVERYONE went Salah. I’ve a feeling Mane may start the better of the 2 but obviously, i’d be delighted if either one tears Norwich up.

OOoff maybe Cantwell should have gotten a straight red for that. rarely do you see such a cynical, petulant shitty “tackle” from behind. he’s a lucky boy that Jota didnt fall awkwardly, or he was off. he was upset to be left behind by Jota, so he lashes out, with absolutely no effort to get the ball, and it’s a dangerous angle to “tackle” from. Little fucker.
That said, you’d hope for something between a yellow and a red really, 10 min sin bin would be appropriate.
Put someone on top give him a rattler.

That was more Chelsea’s 2nd 11 that started off but I think there’s going to be a big gap between the top 4 or 5 and the rest of the league this season. Kind of disappointing I feel.

I agree Blaze. I have much sympathy with Chucky’s frustrations on the recent thread regarding the big club dominance. But whilst big money has of course distorted the league, I think the dearth of good managers is a big problem. Also why are these recently promoted teams playing such open football that basically creates cannon fodder for the big clubs. You’d have thought Leeds would have learnt some lessons last season at Old Trafford.
