Real Jose victory. Big win. Just grinds our wins as utd weren’t great. Matic was excellent. Chelsea took their foot off the gas and were happy with a draw. Morata was dreadful as was Pedro when he came on.

Cheers nine. Commiserations to the Chelsea lads. Will take a scrappy win like that all day long. So refreshing to see someone like McTominay really starting to establish himself in the team. Who says young players can’t flourish under Jose?!

Should have been a draw ,for Morata was not offside! A draw would have been a fair result,Chelsea were much better than us in the 1st half.Our defence is worse than that of Liverpool.

Credit were credit is due. Jose has brought that young lad through and had the balls to play him in big games

inrealky thought utd were average today but they are efficient. They just stay in games. Chelsea were excellent in the 1st half but needed to get in at 1-0 up. That defeat must be hard to swallow as utd didn’t even play well yet won

wjen I saw hazard coming off I was worried for Chelsea. Willian was very good but Pedro was dreadful. What’s happened to Morata?

lackau was excellent. Took his goal really well and great cross for the winner. Matic was excellent. Kante aswell.

thats a great win for utd as I thought Chelsea were the better side for the majority of the game but full credit to utd . Utd are a very tough team to beat. Jose will enjoy that one

We’ve not been playing well for a few weeks Sean which makes the win even more important. It’s a massive show of character to win a game like that when we’re in the middle of a poor run of performances. Wins like that can be the springboard for a resurgence in form

Sean, all good comments mate imo.

Moratahas been out injured  for quite a while now and before that he was suffering from a crisis of confidence too so I wasn’t surprised on his first start in quite a while that he was disappointing.

Having said that had the one that hit the bar gone in and the wrongly judged offside goal that was onside been allowed ( if only we had VAR today?) it might have been a different story.

Morata has got to get his confidence back which may take time as well as his match sharpness and he’s got to man up and stop falling over at almost every challenge.

He’s a talented lad but the jury’s currently out on him.

As for Chelsea in typical Chelsea fashion from Champions we’ve managed to put ourselves  in another bit of a hole.

A poor Summer window followed by a moaning and disagreeable  Conte battling publicly with the Board, no DOF following Emenalo’s resignation, two dreadful performances v Bournemouth and Watford which helped put a CL place in real jeopardy with probably 24 points required out of 30 to play now needed to achieve a CL place which is looking like an unlikely achievement , Hazard likely to go,Conte likely to leave in the Summer a DOF still to be appointed and Summer recruitment plans likely to be affected by no CL football.

Chelsea have been here before but it’s likely to be a bigger challenge this time around.

Still if we win the CL again it’s pretty much all sorted.?
