You know, when I had a good look at that later on replay, it looks on purpose. The way he’s looking away just comes across as the way that players sometimes try to mask their intentions.

I know you’re calling for consistency, probably not wanting to see this..
I’d have a huge problem with seeing this week in and out. For multiple reasons :

1) We should be setting up situations where attack is favoured over defence (without making a mockery of the game), and I feel this would give defences the ability to nullify their duties to defence space, to a point.
2) This isn’t basketball, but this “interfering” rule seems to be getting closer to the idea that football is a non-contact sport.
3) We then have to start seeing indirect free kicks in the box for when defenders do this. I don’t remember ever seeing this… so I take issue with the lads on ESPN or NBC or whatever it was (steve nicol and the Scottish fella). They’re talking about it like “OMG it’s so obviously not a goal .. UGH!!”.. It was a bit nauseating.

At the end of it all though, I don’t want to see a new meta arrive where teams are relying on a tactic where they are over-using what Endo did. I’ve seen no signs of it though in all my years as a fan, so it was weird to see them clamping down on us for it.

I don’t know the name of that ref but rightly or wrongly, I have his face burned into the back of my brain for being really unfavourable to Liverpool. whatever about the goal, I felt the general calls were what annoyed me most. He gave Liverpool no protection and Caicedo was allowed to foul and foul and foul… what was that about?

He was the worst and the lads all ganging up on Bradley because they thought he was the weak link… ref gave him no protection, instead a booking.

I’ve loads of respect for the decent chelsea fans but their team are nothing but scum and I in no way want to rub it in the faces of said decent people but I totally would with Caicedo and co. He was just out to try to end our PL challenge by injuring players and he achieved that. It’s not out fault you wouldn’t even talk to us, you merchant.

I dunno how my fellow Liverpool supporters felt about all that but I see us as being very threadbare now. I think we’re into crisis territory and the ongoing lack of protection that we’re getting as teams are just going for injuries…

Ya, it will be the thing that ends our title challenge. It isn’t every week that we get the chance to play a team that is as weak as Chelsea.

Nil, I dont think it was just Sky. I for one thought we were cooked. The last 10 minutes of the 90 were chelsea rising up. It was only fair to think that with their better bench options, they would do better in ET but…

Morning everyone.

I just thought I’d ask a question of others on here. As I said last night, I got the feeling that Caicedos tackle was worse than I first thought.

I wanted to put the question to everyone who’s willing to answer.
Should it have been a straight red/

I didn’t think so live but after seeing it back, I do now think it was a straight red. So my question is, why didn’t they at least review this in a significant way?

Of course if you all say it wasn’t a red, then of course I’ll get my answer that way.
