Okay, actually got a debate for once….
Who is your unluckiest team in the world? Or a better way of putting, which fans are the most “pissed-upon”?
I’m going to go for Southampton first, and possibly West Ham second.
Saints fans must have felt gutted watching only 5 former Saint’s player contest the Big-Ears final, and when you add all the other players like Walcott, Ox, Snederlain, Vicky Wanananaamamya and other’s who ave left over the last decade or so, they’d probably have a TOP 4 side there….
As for West Ham, not a lot of love there, but along with similar thoughts to above, add in the move to the soulless dust bowl in Stratford, I’m almost crying in my pie & mash…

How did we allow Michael Thomas in 1989 when we’re seconds away?
John Aldridge who never missed a pen right up to Wimbledon 1988.
Only 2 league games lost all season, but we don’t win the title with Rafa circa 2008/09
See a pattern developing here?

29th May 2018 at 10:26 am #22402I’m sure all of us could point to multiple examples of when our own club has been somewhat lucky, but considering the amount of “luck” Salahpool have had over the years (I believe they’re the 2nd most successful club in Engerland!?!?), I would suggest a couple of losses doesn’t exactly qualify you as the unluckiest team…. especially when they’re decades apart! 🙂

29th May 2018 at 12:41 pm #22412Got to be Everton. Wouldn’t pay the rent on their ground after the landlord had invested in it so moved out only to find he then cobbled together a team so that the ground was used and within no time they massively overshadowed them so much that overseas players now couldn’t even tell you where Everton are from or anyone who played for them.
Poor chaps, forever in the shadow
