Bruno winning the CL assist is not the end this is just the beginning of a new era. I believe that Erik ten Hag will get us back to the glory days again, I believe he will get the players he needs in two summer transfer windows. Commiserations Pool fans. Wasn’t to be last night. Madrid must have had one of the toughest runs to winning the CL possible in having to face PSG, Chelsea, City, Liverpool. They were probably second best in every tie but found a way to win and that’s what winners do.
Liverpool, in contrast, had a very nice run to the final in Inter, Benfica and Villareal but their luck ran out last night. Still, 2 cups is a good season overall.
Ancelotti, like Zidane, just seems to have a way with this competition.

It’s mad how tight the margins are in football sometimes. Liverpool were 2 matches away from immortality. Basically completing football. However, they were also a couple of penalties away from winning nothing and Chelsea taking home a cup double.

In contrast to the great Real Madrid teams of the past this team in recent years have had an extreme amount of good fortune even more under Zidane as well, ok they had to go past all the best club teams in the world but it doesn’t deter from the fact that they were very lucky against them as well. The stats will tell you not to mention so many decisions that go their way which has no stats.

Nike..it was a sad end..I was a little disappointed in Liverpool to be honest but in saying that RM are certainly a street wise team and did what they had to. I thought Firmino would have been ideal to lead your line against Madrid and he came on too late. Konate was outstanding even overshadowed VD. Mane pick of up front players both Diaz and Salah needed more from them. However, all over now, look forward to next season but the way football is going we are both going to need younger fitter players as well…a squad of them!!!! 5 Subs next season so that will be interesting
