That’s our weakness alright. If we get a season like 2 ago, we’ll be ok but last season won’t be weathered well. I mean, it was a freak season in most regards. Of course, the very strong 11 are now 2 years older than the PL they walked, with a few going through the season in recovery mode (VVD and Gomez mainly).
Im very confident in the first team but there are question marks of Mane and Firmino. I was tipping them to come good this season. Firmino was good against Chelsea until he had to go off but Mane did nothing.
That isn’t to say that we should try and replace him (not that we could afford it). it’s something to watch for next summer though.
I dont expect us to do any business before the window closes. I still think we’re good enough to win the PL but ya, as Harry said, we’ll have to be a lot luckier with injuries than we were last season.

You guys hear the nonsense PSG have been spouting re mbappe?
Apparently they are victims because even though he only has one year on contract he has promised them he won’t leave for free? Real have offered 170m for a player in final year of contract to a club that have picked up messi, ramos and donnaruma on free’s this summer and they crying foul over this? Just sell him now or keep him for final year and accept the consequences!

The same reaso United signed Ronaldo. They cant cope with being second best even though they have enormous debt. They need to placate their fans amd the media…which is worse than ours.

Well they can agree deal in January but mbappe of course wouldn’t be registered until next season nine. It does seem silly to pay 170 now when you know the player will defo sign on free the next season but if psg turn down 170m for sake of year and real willing to offer pay that for sake of the year then there is certainly huge value there at least for the clubs involved.

Adlab. tbh I doubt Ronaldo will end up costing United anything he will generate incredible commercial revenue and there were gains on the United share price after it was announced of nearly £250m.
I know you like to go on about United’s debt but that only exists because of how the Glazers bought the club with a leveraged buy out. As a Club United remain in non Covid times very profitable.
Yeah thanks for asking next Chemo is September 9th we were supposed to be in Cornwall on holiday with friends for two weeks from the 6/09 but we cancelled it because my immune system is shot and I just want to get it all done with now.
I’m doing ok so far bar the first 4 days after Chemo when I’m s**t but that’s better than I expected and that gives me 17 good days. Hope you’re doing ok no pressure on you with these 5 nil wine.😊 Cheers 9’s

Real pull out of Mbappe deal this Summer as PSG didn’t accept their £180m offer. Real walk away and will sign him on a free contract agreement in January finally sensible of Real and bonkers from PSG.

Agreed, it’s absolutely insane for them to be willing to pay 170m for an almost certain future free transfer. It is indeed decisions like this that have lead to real’s incredible debt, which I agree, is not at all comparable to Utd.
The problem with this for me is that the LFC fans are going to use this as a means to hype up the transfer speculation again. I mean, this technically does make it more likely that LFC will sign MBappe (0% chance to 0.1% chance is an improvement ha) but I was looking forward to a period of realism from our lot. So much for that.
Nine, it is bonkers from PSG but only kinda. They have so much money that to them it’s worth hanging onto a player and losing him for free. Real on the other hand are not a bottomless pit of cash and they should have learned their lessons already. I mean, if things get bad enough, the Spanish government will just bail them out anyway. Real are too big to fail, like the banks.

They go on about City not having a number 9 but we won last year without and the other top team Liverpool also do not have a formal numbers but also play with three smallish mobile players upfront. Maybe that’s a more successful recipe in today’s game unless you have a Kane or Lukaku.
The more I think about it the more I’m not sure Ronaldo would have been right, great player that he is/was. Kane on the other hand would have been perfect.
£25m for James! Good business for United.
