City should be winning the league every season hands down. They have the best manager and the most money. Peps spending Is be near enough to a billion soon. How are clubs supposed to compete with that

Hats off to Chelsea for winning the cl and Liverpool for winning the league, as no English team should be competing with city considering all the resources they have.

I don’t think pep is necessarily the best manager, he is a genius though and I know that sounds contradictory but the best managers would not screw up the biggest of games as consistently as pep does.

I read recently that talent is hitting a target others can’t hit, but genius is hitting a target others can’t see. He has created football beyond the imagination of any coach in prem history imo and there lies his genius. But he is not the best manager at all imo, klopp is more effective if you consider relative resource and ignore style of football.

City may need to change their manager to win the champs league, either that or sign messi 🙂

There are two levels of top manager. Those with a top club and ability to spend eg Pep, Klopp, Tuchel, and those with limited resources such as for Brighton, Burnley, Palace etc.

Who is best is a matter of opinion.

I am amazed some of you guys throwing the towel in so early. City will always be beatable by the way they play, that should give any team encouragement. Pep does make mistakes and I would not call getting to the CL final a failure, every City fan knows that team was wrong and my guess was , even the City players knew it was wrong and they could not cope with a formation that lost control in midfield, usually our strongest point,however , that is history. Grealish….good I suspect will not be a regular starter but probably replace Bernadino Silva I think we have lost the battle to keep him. Kane, I believe most City fans do not want, at least the ones I have spoken about. If we get both of them I actually think it reduces our chances next season. My view is, City will have a strong squad again, we will continue to play open attactive football, we will loose games, Pep will make mistakes….now what are the rest going to do?

City are very good defensively Brian mate. They can be got at but they are not open.

They are very well organised and they are very solid most of the time

Didn’t they keep 12 clean sheets in a row and won 19 games in a row?? That’s formidable from an excellent team
