True Ed, not sure who’d buy him though. There are clubs with the clout, but then it’s only in reality going to be a short-term measure for them to get something out of him from a performance point of view.

Was just about to post the same link Mikus. I find that bizarre. Why would you get rid of Lukaku for not fitting the intense nature of Chelsea’s play and bring in a player who turns 38 this season and has been criticised for not working hard enough? I can only think this is the new Chelsea owner seeing a commercial opportunity. Doesn’t bode well for Tuchel and Boehly’s relationship as I find it very difficult to believe that Tuchel wants Ronaldo to lead the line. I can’t for the life of me see Utd sanctioning a sale to a PL rival.

Just seen Richarlison being suspended for the opening game following a ban imposed from his antics last season in throwing a flare. This is the side of him Conte will have to man-manage and condition.
Conte realistically is one of the better managers with a proven track record to push both Pep and Klopp. If he can get the best out of Richarlison, then this could be a surprise package we didn’t expect.

Spurs fans should be happy. Crazy money for berkjwin. I donβt get the Richardlson signing myself to be honest but the manager has been fully supported.
He really improved Ben Davies and dier last season but spurs need a centre back. Still think itβs an absolutely brilliant coup for spurs getting conte. Be really interesting to see how they get on this season
I think utds issue is, they are simply sick of being ripped off and wonβt let the piss be ripped out of them. De Jong clearly doesnβt want to go and ronaldo wants out so act smart. Even if utd get de Jong in, they still need a proper midfield strong man. De Jong is to lightweight to gold that utd midfield together.
Iβm happy with Liverpool business. Delighted Salah stayed and people can analysis it to bits but we need to pay big wages to keep our best players.
I get what mikuis is saying though. Mo goes through real lean spells every season. He was pretty poor after acfn but maybe this was on his mind
Exciting times for Liverpool as I think we might see a change in shape etc. still think we are are short in midfield

The same Donny Sean who couldn’t get a game for Ole, Rangnick or even Lampard at Everton at times. I love Bruno but he’s a risk taker. Ten Hag wants players who can control the ball and Eriksen is much better at that. The amount of midfielders we’ve lost this season as well as the limited budget we have to spend means Eriksen was a no brainer for me.
Shambles of a window aside from Eriksen who I’m happy about. Adds much needed depth. No idea who this left back is and the fact our targets are all Dutch or played in the Dutch league concerns me massively.
Agree that Ronaldo needs to go. He’d have gone next summer anyway so pointless keeping him on. Only good argument to do so is that I can’t see us finding a replacement. Greenwood, Cavani already gone which left us short even with Ronaldo staying.
Another season of battling for a Europa place at this rate. Not a chance we can keep up with Arsenal, Spurs and Co, never mind Chelsea. The top 2 aren’t even worth mentioning at this stage as they’re in a league of their own and will continue to be so this season.

Agree with Sean, Eriksen doesnt make a lot of sense. He would be a good signing if Fernandes wasn’t there.
I’m a firm believer that for the Premier League you can only afford one passenger when it comes to defending and then the team must balance elsewhere. I’d say Liverpool have zero passengers, City? Maybe Mahrez and he doesnt always start. Utd? Last season Ronaldo, Fernades and Pogba and they all regularly started together. Pogba has gone but does Eriksen offer anymore defensively? A little yes, but enough to compensate for Fernandes and maybe Ronaldo strolling around the pitch? Utd need some quality steel to their midfield, not more creative players.
Spurs have done some good buisness and I can see them ahead of Chelsea at the end. That’s no disrespect to Chelsea and obviously a lot can still happen in the window. Can see both Arsenal and Utd slipping further backwards. Arsenal need a miracle to make top 4 but I’m not convinced Jesus is the man to provide it.

If I was Utd, I’d view the coming season like Rodgers first season at Liverpool. Forget top 4 or any targets like that. The emphasis should be a new start, new football, new culture – get that in place first, and give the man time. Don’t expect miracles. And don’t reach for the big cheque book if progress isn’t seen immediately. That all said however…Rodgers did still have the likes of Suarez, Sturridge, Gerrard, Coutinho (later in the season) so you do still need some quality in there. Maybe Utd could get to January before getting some in. For all that’s said about January, Liverpool have probably bought some of their best players in that window – Van Dijk, Suarez, Coutinho, Sturridge, etc.

Couldn’t agree more Mikus. That’s absolutely what we need to do. I think there’s much more of an acceptance from fans for that kind of a transition and patience. Whether the owners are as willing to forgo CL revenue for another season is another question.
Poch’s shadow hanging over Ten Hag won’t help the new manager’s cause if it does start badly, as most suspect it will considering the lack of investment in the right areas.
