A weekend of cup games, and an away trip to the Saints for the Spuds.
Considering the form of both teams, suspect we won’t be in the hat for the 5th round, leaving us with just the Champions League to play for.

As for the FA Cup, I wonder if Klopp can actually have a real go at winning this? He’s never made the slightest effort in it before. Would be pretty cool though, especially if he left GK to Adrian.

If it happened Chucky, I wouldn’t be TOO bad about it. last season we missed out on the PL and I went into that final, having lost the 3 finals before it thinking “we’ve got to win this or we’re going to get derailed”. There are only so many finals in a row that you can lose and on top of some silly draws that threw the PL (ok ok city winning the last 14 matches in a row!.. crazy bastards)… but if by the time the CL final comes around and it’s Liverpool V Spurs, if we are PL champions, I’ll not begrudge you. That is of course unless we were to also win the FA Cup. To chase United treble would be a dream… but I can’t go that far ahead. Atletico might dump us out, never mind finals.
Anyway, you lads have Jose, who might be a bit iffy so far in the PL but he’s won the CL 3 times. YOU NEVER KNOW!!!! mwahaha

You can see why we’ve kept clean sheets with the pace of Van Dijk & Gomez with the high line because they can get back. Lovren & Matip just can’t deal with it in the same way. Also this is why we haven’t particularly missed Fabinho – he just doesn’t have the pace. Would be at least 2-2 with better finishing in this game.

gi blue…thought after Silva he was City’s best player to day, played well.

I suspect Keita would have started had he been match fit. We missed energy in midfield. We missed pace at the back. We missed quality up top. Shaqiri still out? If we lose any of the first team, today showed we haven’t got much to draw upon due to the second string injuries, so had to play a few more of the kids. That area needs work in the summer.

Brian, I hear what you say. Commitment he has, it’s his over-commitment that lets him down on many occasions. He’s a bit like Stones in that he looks competent alongside a strong CB (eg. Kompany/Laporte)

Following on from Klopp’s post match interview I’m sorry but I think it’s disrespectful to the FA Cup and to Shrewsbury themselves to not play any first team players and for Klopp not to even manage the team in the replay.
