Just reading that Barca are prepared to pay close to £200m for him. Remember when Liverpool paid £29m for him, my mates who live in Germany and follow the Bundesliga on regular basis couldnt stop laughing @ the price Liverpool paid for him.3 years and a bit on,and he has improved his game to that level that his price-tag has increased tenfold! Him,Salah,and Mane make football look so easy,absolutely a brilliant player to watch!

Mav – I agree with you, he’s a fantastic player, and my favourite player in the Liverpool team. Having said that, he has been pretty woeful this season. When he came off the bench on Saturday against Huddersfield his 15 minutes or so were notable only for possibly the worst pass I have ever seen a professional footballer make. Shaquiri one side and Sturridge (I think) on the other, and under no pressure from 5 yards away he played it to the Huddersfield defender. I actually laughed when I saw it live.

However, he is quality, and a vital cog for Klopp’s style of football. But his mate has gone to the Nou Camp, and everybody has their price, I guess. I’d be very sorry to see him go though.

Liverpool should snatch Barca’s hand off if they were to offer £200m for Firmino. I don’t think Barca have that sort of money to spend on anyone though especially with the massive redevelopment project of the Camp Nou on the go.

27-Didnt Barca just record a e1bn turnover,the record in club football? Plus they are talking of replacing Suarez,so of course there is the money.Except Icardi and Kane,there are not many world class strikers available!
