Adlab, I think if the original shot would have gone in without the intervention then its not an O.G.
Thats my understanding and its not led me wrong yet.

Usually it’s if the initial shot is on target then it goes down as a goal, if the shot was not on goal and it gets deflected in its an own goal. It stops having huge amounts of own goals but takes no account of the severity of the deflection, which makes some goals awarded to attacking players comedic….Pagan

Adlab, not sure, perhaps it’s because the keeper merely diverted it into the goal from the original strike, albeit in a slightly delayed way.
