Be watching the villa game. I find cities games a tad boring as they are to one sided and it be the same tonight. The wolves game was dreadful as it was just city trying to play football and wolves had no Interest in playing at all
I don’t get this don’t have a go at the bigger clubs as they have all shown they can be got at. It’s not about gung ho. It’s about trying to play. Villa had a go when they went 1-0 to us and caused us issues. Have a go !
How many times has playing for 0-0from minute one actually worked? Very very rarely do teams get through 90 mins for the game to end nil all

Sean, the likes of Wolves can’t go head to head with the likes of City and Liverpool mate they would get slaughtered in transition. Wolves are a very difficult team to break down and very well organised that’s Wolves strength.

As Gerrard alluded to, when playing the big teams it’s about staying level in the game until around 65 to 70 minutes, and then maybe having a go when the time is right and playing that calculated risk.

But wolves don’t do that nine. Have you watched them mate? They feign injury, try to waste time and just hit countless long balls. The hope is nil all from the off. It’s horrible to watch and barely gets results for some teams.
You don’t go gung go. You can attack with more then two players and not be caught out.
Brighton came at us, Brentford, ac Milan etc.
They had a go and scored a few goals.Brentford were tremendously brave at got their rewards. It can be done without getting trounced.
Mikuis, it got villa no were though mate. No result. As I saying we have seen it so many times and the outcome is no points.

Sean, West Ham have the formula to beat the big sides. The big teams don’t like the opposition being physical, whilst they can also be exploited during set pieces, especially corners. West Ham also defended for much of the games but countered when they could. It’s all about keeping things tight and then having a go when the opportunity arises. The smaller clubs simply couldn’t go head to head with them on the attacking front.

I’m not saying go head to head at all mate. The point has been misunderstood. Wolves and villa didn’t even try to play againest Liverpool until they went behind. So from minute one until they went behind they did not string any attacks going forward. They didn’t try once to even try keep the ball and create an opening. So what’s the point when it rarely works? That’s my point. It’s not about going there at being wide open and going all out. It’s playing for a nil all draw from minute one and the majority of the time you just lose in anyway

No worries Sean. I think Brighton are good in possession, but then, that doesn’t guarantee them the win either. Brentford, like West Ham, are more physical and good at upsetting the teams during corners. The best tactic vs the big teams for me is to be aggressive and be up for the fight.
