Somewhat have been resentful of this (for many a time). Used to naturally enjoy it. Must be me being round the block a bit. Fed up really of Lineker, the choice and the style of so-called punditry.

I’m more longing for Des Lynam and the early 1990s.

Personally I don’t understand the logic behind paying Lineker the vast money he’s on or the fact you have to have ex players as pundits. I don’t watch MOTD to see the presenter, I watch it to to see the footy, as for pundits I’d like to see a mixture of qualified coaches, but not ex managers and down to earth footy fans who say it as it is.

I would say the majority of people on here could watch the footage on MOTD and say where things went wrong, to me it’s jobs for the boys again….Pagan

That guy just gets on my nerves PPT – used to like him but that persona of his has gone way past his sell-by-date. He bores me!

NB, any box, I use virgin, but Sky, BT, Freesat, or even just an old video recorder would do.

I just record the programme on Saturday night then watch it Sunday morning, and skip through the shit….Pagan

I do the same as Pagan and just watch the matches I’m interested in and fast forward anything or anyone I don’t want to watch.

MOTD doesn’t have the same weight as it used to now due to the copious number of live televised matches, the game of the day re run every Saturday night and the extended highlights of each club all available on Sky.

Personally I don’t have any problems with Lineker someone has to front it up and I still think it provides a great service because not everyone can afford Sky and BT Sport and MOTD caters for them.
