Well it looks ominous now for Ole. Who knows who will come in. Whilst I’m not entirely convinced Zidane is the answer, he is an answer and that’s the most important thing. Why we waited so long, I’ll never know and we wasted far too much time.
I said a while ago, even amidst all the Conte links, that Zidane was the manager best suited to our squad and I stand by that. After Leicester’s showing today, they’ll probably be calling the Glazers offering us Rodgers, never mind about the other way around!

I didn’t believe Arsenal had turned any corner. They need to be going to tough places and giving the bigger teams a game. That was far to easy today. Their tactics played right into our hands. We pressed really well and love watching us in full flow but far to easy

I missed most of the first half but from the few mins and all of the 2nd half, I have to say that that was more like it. We weren’t giving our usual chances away. Pleased with Salah getting a goal and for Mane cooling off after that yellow. Mane is racking up the goals/assists. He’s looking more like himself now, after being pretty much vacant all of the previous campaign.
Alisson was there when we needed him but the over-reliance that we’ve seen this season wasn’t there. That’s the best thing that I can speak about today. Trent was brilliant, I really like Tsimikas. We’ve got such a good player there for back-up. Really there is no excuse for us not to have a very well rested Robertson from here on. He can come in and do an excellent job.
Good on the young lad for getting some game time out at Anfield in the PL, he will be absolutely buzzing in training for weeks to come after that.
Commiserations Steveo. A work in progress but maybe Arteta has them going int he right direction. You don’t go 10 games unbeaten in the PL if you have nothing going for you.
