442, sorry for the late reply.
I was ‘studying’ Jose’s body language who was also sat in the studio as a guest, and when the subject on tactics/philosophy was raised, he didn’t appear to look too comfortable.
In all honesty, Carragher over eggs the pudding a bit with his analysis. It’s almost as though he’s in some kind of a Laboratory.
Each to their own but I personally would read too deep into one result.

Its a simple game made complex by the pundits!
Coats down for goals off we went with a kickaround. We didnt need VAR just argued whether the ball went over the coats. Good days. We used to play all day in the summer hols at Fog Lane park in Didsbury. Nostalgia. Then waiting for the next game at Maine Rd or away somewhere if dad took us. Adlab, man after my own heart!
I’ve had a lifetime or a generation’s worth of punditry. Perhaps I’m getting tired of hearing the same clichés. I used to easily buy into people’s opinions and often got my hopes up only to be let down. I had to ensure as a Liverpool Supporter 20 years of Man United!
There is a small handful out there don’t get me wrong, but let’s face it, pretty much anybody out there can form an opinion be it expert or not. The Studio is a composition of ex-pros or journalists.
Used to regularly like MOTD and Sky in the heyday. Maybe I’m getting a bit old for this hahaha 🙂

Super post Adlab. VAR proved it’s worth though imo this weekend and got ever decision right the down side though is it’s difficult to celebrate a goal now.

I did notice regarding the ‘special boxes’ made for VAR, more than 1 person in operating, management and overall decision-making.
Over-time, I’m sure we’ll get more used to it and appreciate it more.
As far as Football itself goes, just play your natural game. If you are complying with the laws of the game, there’s absolutely no need for any VAR intervention and goals can be celebrated.
I remember Football Phone-Ins where 1 hour would be wasted just on arguing over a bad decision or a decision not made by a Referee. Time for this Sport to ‘move with the times’!

our net spend is £55m i beleive so not far off and the way its been structured is very good too
if we get rid of Ozil to the US then this will be a dream window

Stevo, if you get rid of Ozil to the States you should start believing in Father Christmas again.?
Overall though a very good window for Arsenal which probably makes you favourites for 4th place.

Goonies certainly win the “smartest window” award, when you think about the “VFM” element. Hopefully they can get it on the pitch soon, as they didn’t look good against Newcastle, who were very, very poor imho.
Castle were the worst team by far that I saw this weekend.

Chuckster, the Arsenal team v Newcastle wasn’t their best team yet once they start fielding their strongest team they will I think do well and their football will be very easy on the eye. I can see a good season for Arsenal in both the PL and the EL.
