Villarreal are a bit of a tricky team but I can only see a United victory.

We really should be winning this and that’s what worries me 😂. The fact we beat PSG away, City away, hammered Leipzig at home but lost to Sheff Utd at home, dropped points to the poor side from Istanbul in the CL group is why I’m worried. I’d much rather we were playing a top side than one we’re expected to win.
We just need to stumble over the line and get that trophy. Whatever it takes. Get that first one in the bag.

If we best Spains league champions and runners up United should easily account for Villarreal who ended up 7th almost 30 points behind, no other league comes close to matching the power of the EPL. If the Super League had to go ahead it probably would eventually had half of the league with English clubs.

Blaze, if only it worked like that, we’d all be millionaires through gambling 😁. You could just as easily have said “if West Brom are battling relegation and a terrible side and Chelsea are flying under Tuchel, Chelsea will hammer West Brom at home.” It didn’t happen though did it?
City were knocked out of the CL last season by the 7th best team in a poor French league. It’s just not as simple as pointing to who has already beat who and which league is stronger. Anyone can win a one off final. This is Villareal’s only route into the CL next season. Unai Emery has a brilliant record in this competition, too.
Of course Utd should win but, in a final, anything can happen. Even Arsenal won the FA Cup last season, beating City along the way.

I think Utd will do it but it’s a cup so anything could happen. Slight chance of a Manchester derby in the Super Cup final 🤔. No doubt UEFA will hold it on the moon 😂. Agree with you Brian, great for the City.

Haha apologies Steve. Didn’t quite mean it as harsh as it sounded. Arsenal were worthy winners last year. But they were also nowhere near as good as Chelsea or City. I was just reiterating the point that, in a final/semi anything can happen.

M Mike, been dipping in and out of it mate. Cavani I know has been working hard so he deserves his goal.
In context, it’s what I come across in pattern of United being behind, then finding a way to come back.
Could possibly run into extra time.
