“If as country we are willing and able to compensate lost earnings for those who can’t work from home”

But we can’t the previous debt for furloughing will take multiple generations to pay back already Lucky.

Only practical solution not ideal but helps is work from home if you can which is what we’ve currently got.

That’s one of the problems in coping with this though; lack of clear guidelines. If you do contract covid, you isolate unless your health takes a severe turn for the worst e.g. unable to breathe.

There is no need to rush straight to the hospital. People dial 999 at times when they don’t need to.

It’s time the central pens of NHS started offloading to localized surgeries. I think we’re in need of a subsidiary like a Boots. I wouldn’t say it’s on it’s last legs, but it’s in need of a reform and better ways to cope with the vast population.

Passing a virus onto people you live with isn’t exactly news worthy Lucky. I didn’t say the vaccine stopped people from spreading it, I said it reduces their ability to do so, which it does. The article specifically states how the more jabs you have, your chance of spreading it reduces.

I think the argument that you believe you can survive covid and develop natural immunity and that you believe the known and unknown side effects present a greater risk to you is a sound argument and one has the right to make thar decision.

If you have already had covid and survived in last 12 months is that not as good if not better thsn vaccination?

I think there is also solutions in negative testing to allow unvaccinated to participate if they haven’t already contracted it.

Yeah Harry read my subsequent posts I believe from the information it does reduce your chance of spreading but far from eliminates it, however if you are negative that chance is reduced to zero.

If having covid and surviving not as good as good as being vaccinated then what is herd immunity?

That still feels like a lone wolf mentality Lucky and if we all thought like that we would never see the end of it.

So imagine being double jabbed and then actually getting covid. A few weeks later following that up with a booster. You would surely be about 50% antibodies

I just think it’s selfish not to get it unless you’ve been told its not safe for you. That’s my final point.

Kinda with Dirty Hanchez on this one… not getting jabbed is a personal choice, but I’d be worried/annoyed if your ‘personal’ choice increasd the chances of my loved ones catching it… being personal with your own personals in one thing, but being personal with my personals, that something else entirely.

But not even Banjo has an answer to that one… unless you want to live like quite a few Finn’s have been doing and go to the woods and spead as much of the year in your cabin, hiding and steaming yourself in your sauna!

Lone wolf mentality or not, that’s besides the point we are talking about the rights of individuals.

“I just think it’s selfish not to get it unless you’ve been told its not safe for you.”

I accept your opinion there but completely disagree, there are side effects and likely unknown side effects too, no doctor could tell you for sure if it is safe for you its about weighing the risks. I weighed the risk best I could and chose to gratefully accept the 2 jabs and booster. Those who choose differently are well within their rights imo.

We need a bit of a reinforcement of representation from actual bodies in the profession that have researched and carried out tests.

Yes, we can have the booster jabs, but what else would be beneficial? Also, different age groups naturally will have different levels in terms of their own immune system, though anybody any age can contract covid and potentially lose their life from it.

I said at the start though, the discipline is far too let-loose all over. This time of the year people are more likely to contract for example a mild cold (not necessarily flu), but that doesn’t mean it’s covid.

Banjo I understand that bud and its an honest concern shared by many, but the counter would be to ask why an individual would make decisions based on perceived benefit to you rather than themselves. Why are your personals more important

The virus is severe to a very small percentage and we are all entitled to restrict our social interactions until this has passed, we’re masks, use hand sanitizer etc…

Honestly in the 2 years I have gone out as much as possible but always worn masks and maintained hygiene…the only times I have been unwell are following jabs and still feeling like hell following booster last Friday, was terrible Saturday and still suffering headaches and insomnia. Don’t know if I would take a 4th…

But I’m not challenging their rights mate. I’m just saying they’re selfish. Given they’re so rock solid they can take covid full on the chin, surely that won’t even phase them.

Lucky, hope you get well mate. The booster definitely has had different effects on different people as with my Mum last November. I know people that are anti-vax and that’s their personal freedom of choice.

A well know Doctor came on national television in the summer made a point that we’d be good to live our lives as normal as we can following the second jab. We then have an Indian variant, Delta which hasn’t been spoken about recently, then all of a sudden Omricon. Nobody is exercising the root of the spread. We should be ultra strict on who’s passing through our borders and we need to limit travel.

Otherwise the government need to take military action in providing accessible localized hubs that can facilitate in providing oxygen etc.

Just having a quick look Sean and I think the reason is that contracting covid itself is effectively a vaccination and boosters are recommended after 9-18 months of each other so makes sense that the same time is allowed following contacting covid I suppose but maybe more complex reasons than that, just cant find them.

The more you catch it or receive vaccine the more antibodies your body can produce to combat it as Harry has said
