So, De Boer is gone after 4 games and in comes a safe pair of hands in Hodgson. It was a terrible start from Palace but 4 games is a ridiculous amount of time to be given to implement a new style, new methods. 85 days at Inter and now 77 days at Palace. Is De Boer’s management career over before it’s properly begun?

Nowhere near enough time. But 85 days at Inter and 77 at Palace. Makes you wonder if the issue isnt the man himself. Player power and all that. Hogdson isnt the answer regardless.

Haha! I’d almost forgotten about the feeling towards Hodgson from Liverpool fans. He’ll keep them up but it’s a very boring appointment for them. He’s hardly going to take them to the next level is he?

I reckon De Boer’s problem was the problem with many ex-players, got a cushty job at a club he know’s inside out, just happens to be the big-dog in a Yorkshire Terrier league, then uses that record to get a top job with a historically big club. Played his Mulligan card there so he only has a blemish with a small b on his record, gets given another opportunity with a mid-size club in arguably the most competitive league in Europe, discovers that being big-dog in a Yorkshire Terrier league is about as useful as an elephant gun in a Spider House.
I can think of 5 million reasons why I’m not too upset for him…. 🙂
