It´s not the same system though is it Rob? Then that system was from Klopp and not Slot, he inherited it and then managed to fuck it up while on holiday in Ibiza.
I mean this sincerely when I say stop thinking about a front three and start envisioning how a front four can operate as that is the way we are going.
Some of the posters here think they are still right about our tactics from the start of the window, despite there being 2 real games and a few training games proving the opposite.
We are operating a system that is closer to a 424 this season, with Isak and Wirtz in the middle, that is basically the only certainty we have about our system.
We will find out next game where Barcola will feature and I will actually call you all idiots for the rest of the season if he debuts on the right wing. I will only call you half idiots if it is on the left as nobody here can see the tactics we are playing unless they watch a youtube documentary about it.
Half the posters are more concerned about proving themselves right, then proving the tactics we use right. I´m the only one on the forum that described this as a potential 442 or 424 system, I was not even trying to prove myself right, I just asked you lads to keep a open mind about where we are heading as nothing is definite about how we are gonna play until all the players arrive and we got more than 5 games under Iraola to assess how the team is going to play.
But you all made up your minds, this might be my biggest I told you so season yet and I´ve had a few.
We are capable of 80-85 points, the only team that scares me this season in Arsenal, I got Chelsea around the 75 points margin, I got United around the same place, I got Villa at around 65-70, Spurs between 50-60. Of the smaller clubs Brighton and Bournemouth might have a good season and finish around 60-70. City are going through their biggest transition for a decade, it´s gonna be problematic for them and I only see them around 80-85 points.
This season is gonna be a dogfight until the end between 3 clubs, maybe 4-5 clubs. We can only complain about the rightback situation and Szobo just signed a new contract, got appointed as vice-captain and did play there to better effect than all our right fullbacks so I expect him to pick up the slack there.
We have already seen him play there this season albeit only for 20-30 minutes but it worked.
We just have to remember that Iraola is boss, not the journos that speculate, not the players that are selfish. It´s Iraola!!!
