It’s clear that there’s a complete change in strategy when it comes to transfers, under Ineos. Under Woodward and co we’d have outbid City and Tottenham for the players they signed. So in that respect I’m not bothered that we didn’t spend 100 plus million on one player this summer. However like many on here I’m not really understanding the logic of why we’ve brought the players we have especially Santos (he may turn out to be a great signing long term) or why we’ve brought Tielemans. (I get the impression it’s because we discovered his get out was low). Not sure how the balance of the midfield will be. Guess it’s up to Carrick and the coaching staff to sort it out.
