@Dee – Their only criteria is shopping in the bargain basement for players that no other big clubs were going to bid for, and thus drive up the price, that’s it. As for the fanbase, you get the feeling that the next outrage at the owners including Ratshit is only a few bad results away because they will never turn against Carrick for obvious reasons.
Anyone with half a brain cell can see that they’ve brought Carrick in on the cheap and set him up to be the fall guy because everyone can see that we’re even further away from a title challenge now than we were at the end of last season, simple as that.
