My summary:
Gk. I don’t rate him but happy Marmadashvili wasn’t sold as Ali will get injured at some point.
LB: I still have hope Kerkez thrives under Iraola. Tsimikas an OK back up, wish there was a HG option instead
CB: fairly happy now. My only doubt is VvD successor but maybe he’s injured so not worth buying yet?
RB: shambles. Frimpong was never a RB and Bradley is made of pringles and subsequently I fear will never reach the level.
CM: we have the numbers but not the profiles. All are forward thinking. Our best is Szoboszlai and I don’t think he fits the two man midfield. Needed a more defensive minded player and drop one or two of the big 3 earners.
Lw: now 4 seniors why?
RW: none existent. Not a single player can say its their natural position.
AM: wirtz doesn’t have an understudy with his skillset but we have people who can play there albeit with a different style.
CF: Isak continues the Pringles vibe but it would have been crazy to buy effectively a 3rd choice striker. Hopefully Danns can recover and get some minutes in a cup, or we reply on one of our 1000 left wingers to play out of position.
Back ups: High wage and low minutes players taking up non HG spots should have been moved on.
Overall, bit of a shambles.
