Mo up front, added Munoz and Barcola +2
Robbo, Konate added Jacquet, Araujo and recalled Kostas +1
Keepers as was
Two players down in mid. Yes we have Nyoni and recalled McConnell but we had them (officially) last season. Both, just a handful of appearances. Elliott and Jones had experience. We’ve 7 mids on our roster – Mac, Wirtz, Szobo and Grav all first choice, rest have hardly played including Endo.
We needed a Sangare/Camara type player to help carry the load. Equate it to a working deck on a fishing boat. You wouldn’t want to be understaffed there. The midfield is the same. When the going gets tough you get found out in the middle of the park. Overuse, over-reliance and we’re cooked.
We also needed a RB. Bradley a long way off yet and Frimpong is, well, Frimpong and his next muscle injury, you know, ain’t far away.
We’re trying to fake it until we make it.
