Sorry boys, a few of us said before the transfer window opened that we wouldn’t sign a centre back (as on paper the board think we have enough, forget about them not being good enough or staying fit) They look at it like accountants analysing a spreadsheet. If we can put two out per game we’re fine. As for a left back well, they decided to put all their eggs into the midfield basket and get those deals sorted first, by which time Newcastle had sold enough players for their fpp resulting in them telling us to fuck off when it came to Hall.
The club have basically told the world we want Hall or Skelly and are prepared to wait until next season. Hence not taking up the loan option with obligation to buy for Ait Nouri.
After this summer transfer window don’t be expecting any ‘wow transfers next summer’.
That said I’ve had enough of us spending huge money on players we didn’t need or who are crap. Tbh I have little expectation so I’m not going to be disappointed. Final word we all fucking know that Shaw will get injured it written in the stars.
