Hence my belief we won’t go for a more dedicated 6 Ginger as I mentioned last week in my ‘verbose’ post on how Iraola sets his stall out without the ball in predominantly a 442 (the pivot just flank each other covering the middle of the park on the third line). He deploys more of a hybrid pivot which in essence is most pivots are these days (6-8 roles) which is what we have currently with Mac and Grav. Chelsea have it in Fernandez/Caicedo too (way better technical pivot). The only thing is I don’t see them as leaders as seemingly no-one is at Chelsea hence their approaches for Mssrs Welbeck and Henderson.
