Not sure about the back lash that’s led to voicing conspiracy. It’s actually eye-opening as we don’t often see this type of reaction from our Prem Matches week in week out.
Not so much being sandwiched, but thought Martinez was fouled leading up to Egypt’s second goal.
Personally, I felt Argentina were out of their depth and other individual players needed to step up. Maybe it felt like a ‘helping hand’ from the officials, maybe a coincidence. I have seen Prem Matches of loads pan out when a Team’s 2 goals up. All of a sudden really late on, the Tide dramatically changes.
