That’s a fundamental problem, the Business Rates. On top of that energy costs and the costs in hiring employees. Sadly, they are forced to shut down and we end up with what we have in front of us. Lots of listed buildings that remain untouched being boarded up.
Only attracts the nasties and the ugliness like drug dealers, people vandalizing the place and dirtying the streets. People don’t feel safe.
