Gakpo has shown he is worse than Bowen as central attacker.
Bowens played there over 20 times across the last 2 seasons.
You’re right he may not move to be just a squad player but at his age if he wants to move to one of the bigger clubs he might just have to take that role.
He’d get plenty of game time between the 2 positions.
I dont see any current existing squad player that has shown that they can play that role effectively.
At the min we have Isak, Gakpo and Rio “to work with”.
Ekitike out for most of the season.
Salah leaving.
Likely Chiesa leaving.
We are extremely light of options up front.
We need to build a squad.
Even Klopp used Origi off the left and CF.
