About Hughes, I don´t see him being part of any major decisions, he is just there to get the players we want. He had a chance to prove his worth at this level but he basically blundered it, over paid for certain players.
He is just the left hand of Edwards, Edwards needs to face FSG and explain everything to them. He can both sacrifice Slot and Hughes.
I did see that by Ornstein, I saw more rumors about the same thing today, it was a unusually high proportion of rumors cause normally the club pays certain journos to spread the gospel but I don´t see that happening in the last 2-3 days.
I don´t know much about this new rumor mill I found on youtube, koptalk but the dude keeps mentioning some sources and his time covering for the club and I kind of want to take his word for it as he was one of the ones to predict Daglish going out for example from the same sources and he downplays those rumors.
There is always talk around Anfield and the more sources connected to that talk just makes me feel at ease cause I think Slot is gone. They are all anonymous but when different sources going back 20-30 years keep saying the same thing.
The thing is nobody was reporting on this just a week ago, it was still a 50/50 kind of whether Slot stayed or not and now it seems like 97% are saying he is gone after Sunday.
Of course my very biased opinion of Slot has me buying into every fucking rumor I hear right now about his mutual sack!
I think the best option for Slot is to take the 3.5 million and head back to Holland. I don´t wanna talk about the pressure of the job or anything like that but just the fact that he is married with kids and his family refuses to live in Liverpool should be enough reason for him to go back to Holland. He is being offered a easy way out while keeping his reputation intact. If he continues he will risk all his reputation for the rest of his career, first time big job and the one thing that the fans will take from his tenure is that he dismantled a title winning squad. I don´t see him improving us next season, it will be more of the same. With every player on a zoom training from Rotterdam every week.
