He’s had his contract extended by a year.
He’s the most injury prone keeper in the Prem but still quality. Struggles with his kicking now, may be to do with his hamstring issues.
VVD is 34yrs old (soon to turn 35).
Still a year left on his contract.
Havnt seen any rumours of him leaving soon.
If he leaves when his contract is up he’ll be very nearly 36.
Gomez 28yrs old (soon to turn 29)
Squad player and frequently injured unfortunately.
All those players have been at the club a long time. Their cycle with the club will come to an end at some stage. It happens with all players but can’t be any surprise to anyone that players in the twilight of their career move on.
Or the club want players that arnt as injured.
We’ll make very little money from those players when they leave. The wages that will be freed up can be used for the next generation of Liverpool players if they show they deserve them.
