I only saw the highlights but it looks to me to be a good performance against Port Vale. And Cole Palmer captain too. I am happy that he looks to be happy to be chosen captain. I think it’s about time to give Palmer the captaincy. Strip Enzo from the captaincy in my opinion. I don’t believe he did anything wrong, everybody is entitled to his or her opinion. But still it’s not sensitive to talk about Madrid in any way especially when results are bad at Chelsea. As if he said please come and get me to Real Madrid.
While Enzo has certainly improved compared to when he first joined Chelsea, I still don’t see him essential. Palmer has to play no:10 I reckon to be able to do his magic, not on the right wing as he isn’t amongst the quickest players. Enzo then has to go back to no:6 or no:8, but now we have Lavia coming back from injury as well as Andrey Santos who can play that position quite well.
Beat Leeds in the semifinal and we will be certain of playing in Europe next season. City got the best draw against Southampton but still I am relieved not to have to face City in the semi. Next match in the league against City will show how far we are behind City or how close we are to them. Let’s see
