songman are you gonna be the last poster here to notice that Slot has already lost the locker room, a part from Jones last season while everything was working I have not heard one player praise Slot. Players are either arguing on the pitch about what instructions to follow or getting the wrong instructions. He does not have the authority to boss any player around anymore, his ideas are not working, players will be sold by Edwards or Hughes not Slot. Slot could not even promise players gametime this summer, players that we obviously need right now such as Quansah and Elliott. Quansah would have walked into the rightback position when ever needed this season, he could have played as a centerback and covered for both Van Dijk or Konate.
Then players like Diaz were not rewarded for their success with the team and that is a first actually, we have always tried to sign a player in his prime to a new contract.
Edwards and Hughes need to answer for their decisions this summer. Slot should also get the sack as I´ve seldom seen a team collapse like this, in the past if we had a off season with Klopp it was because he was not backed in the market the summer before and we had to play with our u21 team in defense for example.
His final window when he actually did chop up our midfield won us the league after he left. It was not great tactics by Slot which won us the league, it was Klopp still. Salah forced his way for the whole season and Slot could not play any other way than what Salah wanted. The team won us the league, not Slot, new manager bounce had something to do with it as everyone relaxed a a bit and just enjoyed their football but as soon as Slot starts implementing his ideas on the team we lose momentum and we have not gained it since then.
Recruitment has been awful despite more than 400 million spent on players, there was no one big enough at the club to say no to the transfer out, or try to protect the team.
That is why I want the whole management team gone, nobody tried to protect a league winning side, they dismantled it and sold it.
